Vaathilpadi Sevanam
Governance has always been evolving so as to provide all government services at the doorstep. In view of this, Vaathilppadi Sevanam is envisaged to provide the same at the doorstep of the deserved through Volunteers.
The beneficiaries of this scheme are Elderly people who are 60+ of age, Differently abled persons, People under medical and palliative assistance, People with mobility restrictions, beneficiaries identified through Extreme Poverty Identification process etc.
The various services provided to them include Social Security Pension, Food and Emergency Medicines, helping them to apply for assistance from CMDRF etc.
Committees were formed in each LSGIs to implement this scheme. These committees with the help of volunteers (ASHA workers, Sannadhasena) and the social justice department are responsible for the delivery of necessary services at the doorsteps of the needy.
