Local Government Minister Dr. K.T. Jaleel has launched a special website for the state-level Panchayat Day celebrations to be held on February 18 and 19. The event will be held at Shifa Convention Center, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram district. The presidents and secretaries of the village/block/district panchayats in the state are expected to participate in the Panchayat Day celebrations. Registration and accommodation facilities for the delegates can be done through the website. The website was prepared by Information Kerala Mission.
Malappuram District Panchayat President A.P. Unnikrishnan presided over the function. MLAs Adv. K.N.A. Khader, P.Ubaidullah, T.V. Ibrahim, Prof. Abid Hussain Thangal, DPC government nominee E.N.Mohan Das and others spoke. IKM District Coordinator M.P. Rajan welcomed the gathering and Senior Superintendent Sadanandan expressed his vote of thanks.
