Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) has been instrumental in empowering local self-government bodies in Kerala. This has been achieved through continuous capacity building for representatives, officials, and volunteers involved with these bodies. As a result, KILA is at the forefront of capacity development for the Malinya Muktham Nava Keralam Campaign. KILA’s key responsibilities include planning and conducting the necessary training sessions and workshops at various stages of the campaign, securing and utilizing essential resources, and documenting the campaign’s activities. Additionally, KILA’s Legal Resource Center offers crucial guidance to state and district campaign secretariats, as well as the government, on legislation related to waste management.
