State Resource Group for Decentralized Planning
The State Resource Group (SRG) is a crucial support mechanism set up under the Local Self Government Department and housed in the office of the State Planning Board. It advises the Government on various matters related to the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of local level plans at different tiers. The SRG plays a key role in preparing guidelines and instructions for the decentralized planning process. It is chaired by the Member (Decentralised Planning) of the State Planning Board and its members are experienced resources persons drawn from different development areas. The SRG also functions as the secretariat of the State Level Coordination Committee on Decentralised Planning, further highlighting its importance in the planning process.
