In our pursuit of elevating school education in Kerala, the Local Self Government Department (LSGD) takes ownership of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. This all-encompassing program is meticulously designed to enhance school effectiveness and ensure equitable learning outcomes across the state. Spanning from pre-school to class 12, Samagra Siksha Abhiyan seamlessly integrates the schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), and Teacher Education (TE). Our objectives are clear – to provide quality education, bridge social and gender gaps, ensure equity and inclusion, promote vocationalization, support the implementation of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, and strengthen teacher training institutions. The interventions under the scheme, managed by us at the LSGD, cover universal access, gender and equity, inclusive education, quality assurance, financial support for teacher salary, digital initiatives, RTE entitlements, pre-school education, vocational education, sports and physical education, and effective program management.
