Digi Keralam
Digi Keralam is the drive to attain complete digital literacy in the state on the lines of the achievement for total literacy achieved in campaign mode in 1991. It becomes specifically relevant when all services and benefits are migrating to digital platforms, and enabling people to equitably access both the knowledge and the services available requires digital literacy. The Digi Kerala initiative strives to ensure equitable access to the benefits of the digital realm, regardless of socioeconomic status or geographical location, through infrastructure enhancement, digital literacy initiatives, and affordable technology provision.
Launched at KILA, the program operates through three main phases: information gathering, training, and the formal recognition of literacy achievement. Its primary objective is to ensure digital literacy among individuals aged 14 to 65. The project is intended to complete with the help of Kudumbashree members, Students and Youth. Youth engagement from organizations such as NSS, NCC, Scouts, and Guides is actively encouraged. A portal https://digikeralam.lsgkerala.gov.in is ready for volunteer registration. As per a preliminary assessment around 33 Lakh people in Kerala need to become digitally literate.
