Filament Free Keralam - LSGD

“Filament Free Kerala” is one of the projects envisaged in Urja Kerala Mission announced by Govt. of Kerala. “Filament Free Kerala” project is for replacing the entire Incandescent Lamps & CFLs by energy-efficient LED bulbs. Usage of LED bulbs will cut down Electricity bills and cost of LED bulbs will be recovered in a short period.

KSEBL has entered into a partnership with EESL to provide LEDs at standardised rates to LSGs for converting streetlights into LED. LSGs are free to procure LEDs independently too – many local governments have converted to LED streetlights either wholly or partially. Street mains and O&M arrangements are also part of the intervention. Local entrprises including Kudumbashree groups have come forward for O&M.
