സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ജല ഗുണനിലവാര പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് സമഗ്ര സംവിധാനവുമായി ഹരിതകേരളം മിഷന്. ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി എല്ലാ തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും പരിശോധനാ ലാബുകള് സജ്ജമാക്കും. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന്റെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ ഹയര്സെക്കണ്ടറി സ്കൂളുകളിലെ രസതന്ത്ര ലാബുകളോടനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് ജലഗുണനിലവാരലാബുകള് സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത്. സ്കൂളിലെ ശാസ്ത്രാധ്യാപകര്ക്ക് ഇതിനുള്ള പരിശീലനം നല്കും. ഫര്ണിച്ചര്, കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര് ഉള്പ്പെടെയുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങള് സജ്ജമാക്കല്, പരിശോധനാ കിറ്റ് വാങ്ങല് തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളാണ് അധികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരിക. ഇതിനായി എം.എല്.എ.മാരുടെ ആസ്തി വികസന ഫണ്ടില് നിന്നും പണം വിനിയോഗിക്കാന് അനുമതി നല്കി സര്ക്കാര് ഉത്തരവിറക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
