Delimitation Commission - LSGD

The Delimitation Commission is constituted under Sec.10 sub sec (1) of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 for dividing every Panchayat and Municipality in the state of Kerala into constituencies/wards and fix their boundaries as per the provisions contained in Sec.10 of the above Act and Sec.69 of the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994. The Commission is chaired by the State Election Commission and consists of four members not below the rank of Secretary to Government. The Government constituted the Delimitation Commission vide G.O.(P) No.36/2024/LSGD dated 14.06.2024 published as SRO No.513/2024 in Kerala Gazette Extra Ordinary dated 24.06.2024. Sri.A.Shajahan,(Rtd. I.A.S.), State Election Commissioner is the Chairman and Dr. Rathan.U. Kelkar,IAS, Secretary, IT Department, Environment Department, Sri.K.Biju,IAS, Secretary, Public Works, Tourism Department, Shri.S.Harikishore IAS, Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, Director, Industries and Commerce and Dr.K.Vasuki,IAS, Secretary, Labour and Skills Department are the members of the Commission.
